Hello, Guest!

wash100-SEALSoon after the start of the 2014 year, Executive Mosaic’s leadership elected 100 executives and officials from across the GovCon landscape as the 2013 class of the Wash100, the premier group of leaders on both sides of the intersection of the private and public sectors.

Near the top of the inductees stood Robin Lineberger, a Deloitte principal who focuses on aerospace and defense and earlier served as chief executive of Deloitte Federal Services.

“It’s really the impact we can have on the clients in the marketplace, and ultimately the United States,” Lineberger told ExecutiveBiz on what excited him most about his job. “We don’t intend for there to be any failures or losses of the major capabilities the U.S. has today along this journey of rightsizing and repositioning service providers and platform providers to the government.”

Robin-Lineberger-Deloitte-ExecutiveMosaicLineberger began his career serving the U.S. government in development and testing as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Air Force, a tradition he carried on from previous generations in his family and that continues to inform how he approaches the world today.

“What shaped me the most is being a third-generation veteran,” he told GovCon Exec. “Many [leaving] the military could go anywhere but chose to operate in the public sector. I wanted to continue to give back … to enhance the security and the posture of the United States from a competitiveness standpoint, as well as from a physical security standpoint.”

He joined Deloitte in 2009 through its acquisition of BearingPoint, and would lead that company’s integration into Deloitte and oversee four additional acquisitions in spaces including geospatial, e-Disovery and information technology as CEO.

The Wash100 is a group of private and public sectors officially elected by Executive Mosaic’s organizational and editorial leadership for demonstrating a consistent commitment to organizational excellence, and driving above-average value to the American public through strategic vision, innovation and achievement.

Executive Mosaic inducts new leaders each year, but the recognition is earned over a career of work.
