Hello, Guest!

wash100-SEALSoon after the start of the 2014 year, Executive Mosaic’s leadership elected 100 executives and officials from across the GovCon landscape as the 2013 class of the Wash100, the premier group of leaders on both sides of the intersection of the private and public sectors.

Near the top of the inductees stood Al Grasso, president and CEO of MITRE Corp., an organization he joined in 1986 and has helped drive the performance and establishment of new FFRDCs in a variety of elevating senior positions.

Grasso also currently serves on the board of trustees at MITRE, and has overseen its reception of the National Aeronautic Association’s Collier Trophy, the Air Force Association’s Theodore von Karman Award and the Secretary of Defense Medal for Outstanding Public Service.

Alfred-GrassoGrasso has been an outsize proponent of supporting missions critical to the health and safety of the U.S. and those that put their lives on the line to do the same. He has helped drive the company’s support of a NVTC program to find employment for veterans.

“In providing an opportunity for veterans to explore different career paths, they need flexibility, particularly as they continue physical therapy during the transition period,” Grasso said about the program.

“Whether it means increasing their learning capacity or delivering their experience in a number of different ways, they will do what it takes to make it happen,” he added.

The Wash100 is a group of private and public sectors officially elected by Executive Mosaic’s organizational and editorial leadership for demonstrating a consistent commitment to organizational excellence, and driving above-average value to the American public through strategic vision, innovation and achievement.

Executive Mosaic inducts new leaders each year, but the recognition is earned over a career of work.
