Shrader is the seventh chairman to lead Booz Allen since its 1914 founding and has also led the contractor’s Worldwide technology Business as its President, and earlier headed a division focused on IT, telecomm, and C4ISR.
In his time leading Booz Allen, Shrader has overseen great growth and transformation at the company – and has made clear that in order to continue growing, he will continue to evolve the firm in a market environment full of potential ‘pitfalls.’
“As far as what the rest of the industry will do, I think we have to leave it to the rest of the industry,” he told the Post. “I don’t think we’re too worried about getting left behind.”
A Doctor in Electrical Engineering, Shrader also concentrated in nuclear physics and engineering at the graduate level and spent a good part of his career leading major telecommunications operations.
Outside of the office, AFCEA established a scholarship program for women and minority students in his name after his work supporting those individuals as the association’s chairman. Shrader has also launched a Board-level diversity initiative at Booz Allen.
