Executive Mosaic, Tysons Corner, VA December 16, 2014 – ExecutiveBiz covered Monday Woolpert Senior Vice President Shane Imwalle and his company expects expanded work on unmanned aerial systems resulting from recent certification from the Federal Aviation Administration.
The Dayton Business Journal reported that the agency has given Woolpert the go-ahead to fly its drones in the state of Ohio, new business that Imwalle indicated calls for a review to make sure they have pilots, data analysts and the other required manpower for the job.
“We’re going to have to evaluate going forward — the [Altavian] Nova Block III [Woolpert uses for survey missions] will be a revenue-generating model for us now,” Imwalle said.
“Whereas before it was much more of an experimental thing, now it’s a part of the business.”
