The National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence will work with industry partners to learn more about cyber threats.
Patrick Gallagher, NIST director, said the partnerships are aimed at helping to protect information technology infrastructure and business information.
NIST created the center in coordination with the state of Maryland and Montgomery County.
The center put on a demonstration project to help healthcare providers document, maintain and exchange clinical data in a secure mobile environment.
The companies that are participating in the program include:
Cisco
Hewlett-Packard
HyTrust
Intel
McAfee
Microsoft
RSA
Splunk
Symantec
Vanguard Integrity Professionals
Venafi
“Cyber threats cut across networks, borders and sectors, and leaders in government and industry must work together to help protect the nation’s critical infrastructure and information,”
“No one organization can do the job alone. NSA supports NIST’s efforts to partner with industry to tackle cyber challenges. NIST has been a great partner to work with and we know they will be great partners on the National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence,”
