The order includes the deployment of an air mobility command weapon systems trainer and loadmaster part task trainer for the C-130J Hercules transports at the Yokota Air Base in Japan; spares, equipment and technical support for the KC-130J; and related maintenance services, Lockheed said Monday.
Company officials said Lockheed strives to upgrade its training systems to match evolving aircraft platforms in support of the warfighter’s mission readiness objectives.
“Lockheed Martin is applying more than 20 years of C-130 training experience to continue infusing new capabilities into these programs,” said Jim Weitzel, vice president for training solutions at Lockheed Martin.
