TYSONS CORNER, VA, March 28, 2018 — Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) has been cleared to begin software sustainment and update work for the U.S. Army‘s strategic systems after the withdrawal of a protest to the potential $600 million contract Raytheon received in 2017, GovCon Wire reported Tuesday.
The company said Monday it will work with the Army over the next two months to discuss directions for software services on systems such as the Upgraded Early Warning Radar, AN/TPY-2, Sea-Based X-Band Radar, Ground-Based Midcourse Defense and Terminal High Altitude Area Defense.
“We’re bringing state-of-the-art, commercial software practices, such as DevOps and Agile, to make sure the systems the Army depends on stay ahead of evolving threats,” said Todd Probert, vice president of mission support and modernization at Raytheon’s intelligence, information and services business.
