General-AtomicsTYSONS CORNER, VA June 16, 2015 — Executive Mosaic — GovCon Wire reported Monday on the U.S. Navy picking General Atomics to provide an advanced arresting gear and electromagnetic aircraft launch system for the planned USS John F. Kennedy (CVN 79) aircraft carrier under a $737 million contract modification.
The Defense Department said Friday it expects the contract to last through September 2022, with majority of the work to occur in San Diego, California.
